RoofGlo's Roof Inspection Procedure:
NOTE: RoofGlo™ does not offer phone or online roof cleaning estimates. Unlike "one price fits all" roof pressure washers, we do not rely on the square footage of the house and Google Earth's photos to provide a quote. Therefore, it is impossible for us to provide you a quote over the phone. RoofGlo's Zero Pressure Roof Cleaning Treatment quotes are based on the measurements of the roof, not the square footage of the house. Two houses with the same square feet can have a major difference in roof size. In addition to the measurements of the roof, we need to determine the severity and type of infestation on the roof, the complexity of the roof, complexity of capturing the roof cleaning waste, how to protect the storm drains or waterfront and numerous other important factors before we can provide a quote. Also, we do not provide roof cleaning treatment quotes for approximately 5% of inspections due to the poor condition of the roof shingles. We have a simple procedure which we follow with every inspection. We introduce ourselves, we inspect the roof, we explain the roof problems we find (if any), we explain our solution to the problems, we provide a quote and if potential customers qualify for discounts, we apply them to the quote.  NOTE: We do not pressure sell and we do not negotiate price based on roof pressure washers' (soft washing, low pressure, bleach, etc.) estimates.

Seven (7) Important Questions Smart Property Owners Ask Roof Cleaning Companies
NOTE: Roof cleaning can save you money. However, choosing the wrong roof cleaner can cost you more than a new roof.
Anyone can purchase a pressure washer, offer a cheap price and call themself a roof cleaning pro. But, what happens when an accident occurs?
Instead of how much does roof cleaning cost (how cheap is your roof cleaning) or how many reviews do you have:

1) The first question smart property owners ask a roof cleaning company is do you have Workers Compensation Insurance.

The internet is full of roof washing approaches including desperate ads, soft washing services, roof shampoo services, home advisors, trusted pros, approved contractors, premier roof cleaner, leading roof cleaner, power washing services turned low and soft pressure roof cleaners, DIY roof washing for dummies, one price fits all roof cleaning internet/phone estimates, bait and switch ads, “my roof cleaning stuff is the best” and on and on and on. What you do not see is the most important aspect of roof cleaning which is, roof cleaning is extremely dangerous!
WARNING: A roofer is listed in America's Ten Most Dangerous Jobs. When you add water and chemicals to the surface of the roof,
a roof cleaner could be the most dangerous job.

Roof cleaning is not to be taken lightly. It should not be viewed as just another service performed on your property or just another item added to your DIY "honey do list". Therefore, before you purchase an internet roof wash soap product,
a scrub brush, a pressure washer and add “attempt roof cleaning” to your “honey do list”, remember it is your roof you are attempting to clean,
not your carpet. If you are smart and hire a roof cleaning company, make sure that the company that performs work on your property has Workers Compensation Insurance. Workers Compensation Insurance not only protects the workers, it protect the property owner and the company.

2) The second question smart property owners ask a roof cleaning company is
in addition to
Workers Compensation Insurance do you have
General Liability Insurance and C
ommercial Insurance.

3) The third question smart property owners ask a roof cleaning company is are you fully licensed by the State.
NOTE: A City Business License is not a State Contractor's License. Also, a T
rusted Pro, Approved Contractor, Home Advisor, Google Ad,
Accredited Business, etc.,
purchased membership badge
is not a State Contractor's License. Anyone including criminals can purchase an online membership badge and a city business license. A State Contractor's License requires passing a test and criminal history.
NOTE: The Federal Government, State Governments, City Governments and major Companies require a company to be licensed by the State
before any work is performed on their properties. Most important of all, they also require that a company has Workers Compensation Insurance,
General Liability Insurance and Commercial Insurance. Homeowners be
 smart, protect yourself.

4) The fourth question smart property owners ask a roof cleaning company is does your roof cleaning service require Any water pressure or chemical pressure to remove algae, mold, moss and lichen infestation from my roof. Most property owners call concerning their roof algae, lichen, mold and/or moss problems long after the infestation has heavily infested most of their roof. At this stage of growth, if the roof infestation is removed or cleaned incorrectly, the process can rapidly decrease the remaining life of the roof shingles. Low pressure roof washing services, roof pressure or power washing services, roof shampooing services and roof soft washing services merely lower and raise the pressure on a pressure washer to remove stains from the roof. This procedure is called, low pressure roof cleaning. Low pressure is solely determined by the operator of a pressure washer. Water pressure applied to a roof shingle, whether low pressure roof rinsing, low pressure roof washing, low pressure roof shampooing, low pressure roof bleaching and low pressure soft washing can cause damage to the roof shingle. The ripping or swirling action removes the surface algae, mold, moss and/or lichen infestation along with the shingle granules.

5) The fifth question smart property owners ask a roof cleaning company is how long have you (not the franchise you purchased) been in the roof cleaning business. A roof cleaning company that has been in business for a while means you can count on their quality of workmanship and experience. Also if an established roof cleaning company offered a re-treatment warranty they are more likely to be in business to honor it rather than a “fly-by-night” roof cleaner.
WARNING: A few signs of an inexperienced
“fly-by-night” roof cleaner are, “I can beat anybody's price”, "we do what they do, we are cheaper", when the subjects of State license and insurance are brought up, they change the subjects to 5 star reviews, plants, bleach, environmental soap, no pressure, soft pressure, etc. Be Smart. Always ask to see state license, workers compensation insurance, general liability insurance and multiple before and after pictures with addresses before any work is performed on your property. Simply choosing a company based on reviews and the cheapest price can cost you. Do your homework.

6) The sixth question smart property owners ask a roof cleaning company is does your roof cleaning service require you to walk on my roof.

7) The seventh question smart property owners ask a roof cleaning company is do you capture and contain the roof cleaning waste during the cleaning process to protect the storm drains. No matter which product or products a roof cleaning company uses, during the cleaning process the roof cleaning runoff/waste should be captured, contained and removed from the property.
